My thoughts on using different genres
I really enjoyed Monday's class activities. I thought it was very interesting and informing. It gave me some great ideas for the genres of my research paper on English Language Learners. I think allowing children to write research papers in this way, allows for a creative outlet, and in the end I believe it makes a more well-rounded paper. Allowing this creative outlet makes writing a paper more interesting for a students.

I agree, and I think that transforming research into new genres deepens the learning and raises even more questions that prompt further research--it's a cycle!
